Festivals

We love culture. This is why one of our priorities is to support any initiative that promotes it.

Since opening our hotels, we have been permanent collaborators in prestigious music festivals such as Sónar, and Primavera Sound, etc. We have also sponsored many other film-based festivals, such as the famous In-edit Festival, D’A Film Festival, and SoundEat!, etc. We are also often used as their accreditation centre and meeting point for the media, and a place where the opening and closure events are held.

It is no surprise that we have become the “official hotel” for many directors and producers, who choose our Pulitzer and Regina hotels as a place to stay. Even the odd Nobel laureate in literature has visited the Pulitzer Hotel!

DEEP INTO THE FESTIVALS

In-edit Festival:

Reference to part of the text written by Cristian Pascual, the festival’s director: “The main goal of the festival is to promote and consolidate the musical documentary genre”.

Reference to part of the text written by Luis Hidalgo, the festival’s artistic director: “Without losing sight of the musical perspective, this year’s festival supports more classical electronics, the electronics that was playing before the clubs and festivals. There is also a look at outstanding names in pop music, vintage technologies revisited without nostalgia or reviews of scenes where the mix offers colour and content, as usual”.

SoundEat Festival:

Reference to the text written by Borja Malet, the festival’s director:

“SoundEat! is a music and food festival that brings together the best artists on the alternative music scene with different street food restaurants. It is a daytime, itinerant festival that takes place in different places around the city”.

SoundEat! has taken place 10 times since 2014, with increased success every time. SoundEat has included famous artists such as Hot Chip DJs, Hunee, Foals Djs, Lindstrøm, Tensnake, Maurice Fulton, Detroit Swindle, François Kevorkian, etc and national artists and bands such as Delorean Djs, El último Vecino, beGun, Extraperlo or Pau Roca.

D’A Film Festival:

Every spring, the D’A Film Festival in Barcelona offers an in-depth review of today’s world film scene, offering the audience the chance to enjoy a series of successful, internationally famous films that have received awards from critics and the public, combined with new talents and films, both international and local.

In just six years, the D’A has become a go-to event for the best independent and experimental films currently made around the world. The festival is a cultural event that already has deep roots in the city of Barcelona, a unique experience that combines screenings, the presence of directors and dialogue with the audience through a series of talks and workshops open to everyone.
